Chrome and Windows Security tells me that the file contains a virus, is this true or just a mistake due to a quirk in the code?

First step is at the Investigating Agency, you can ask to them about Ina (not required, but is part of the pathos)
Go back there at night, you can steal there Olaf's ID together with few others stuffs.. then check the files and you will have the clue about where to find her..
Need to enter the structure at night, having cocaine in inventory will help a lot in saving her..
You can then choose to bring her to Lilly or sell her.
If you bring her back you will unlock one of the free location where to live and gain a bit of status for the town, if you sell her you will get some silvers and a bit status with Isara, but will close the option to get the free room.

Windows Defender just jumpscared me with a trojan warning that was resolved "with errors". Currently running a several hour long full scan to see what the hell is going on.
Edit. So apparently after some spelunking, it's because some line of code in the .html file, which probably launches scripts, is used by malware developers to... well, launch scripts. the B!ml termination means that Windows Defender sees it as a "machine learning" code. Trojan:win32/wacatac.B!ml and Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml are very common sources of false positives because of this.
Also because the code is in the .html file, which cannot autorun, it is clearly not there on malicious purpose.
I'm gonna trust the process, because a full scan by windows takes several days.

any way to get the online site to resend notifications? cause i'm pretty sure i accidentally turned it off, and now i'm incapable of deleting manual saves, other than just deleting all cookies.

No, garbage. Too hard to encounter any content, too much torture shit you can't disable, forced orientation fetish content you also can't disable is only applicable to ~1/10k people. Just awful overall, if you aren't into electro-torture and beatings this isn't a game for you. Pretty sure it's not a game for anyone.

:/ u can disable ntr so ok for me...n I rarely get true torture or electro shit lol I'm not for it either but it has options to disable stuff and if u avoid areas where that happens I think you will be ok....or u can edit save and become god so u only get into scenes u want

Change also the difficulty of the game modify it a lot.. all depending what you wanna do in the game..
You can choose your path, the people you wanna interact with..
Some contents are related just to some NPCs, for that you got perhaps some hard time to start those..
There are toggles in the settings to disable the following: Chastity, forced orientation, rape, encounters outside of your sexual orientation, gender bending, crossdressing, watersports, NPC relationships, NTR, and "heavy" torture.
Is there a place you can sleep in in exchange for e-coins? I asked several npcs for a place to stay and those that didn't want to rape me only mentioned Olena's house or places where you can pay in silver.

Man I tried Olena's content and the click to content ratio there is, to put it mildly, strongly discouraging. The idea is quite cool but it's way too grindy now. It would be good If cleaning the rooms took fewer clicks than it does now and there was some kind of progression, like getting increasingly more revealing uniforms instead of just starting with the sluttliest outfit possible.
